Ballerina
The shiny black floor underneath her shoes,
Sweepy moves for arms and hands.
Tapping toes of silken feet,
Tall and straight she stands.
Glistening hair tied up in knots,
Ribbons up her legs,
Tutu sweeps around the air,
Then tapping toes again.
Leaping such a mighty feat,
Of balance and of grace.
Of such a happy moment dear,
With elegence of the face.
Such a twist and then so still,
Arms swept up to the skies,
Turns around to face each viewer,
With brightness in her eyes!
Flewent claps come from the crowd,
A wave of heat to her chest,
As slowly she gracefully bows on down,
Heart bounding in her chest.
Then pit-a-pat back to the wing,
Handed over brilliant bloom,
A drink of water clear and bright,
Such peace is in the room
Heart flutters like a butterfly,
So pretty yet so true!
Who is this gracefull dancer?
Why, it could be you!
